Roger C. Helm, President
Roger C. Helm, PhD, Biological Ecology, recently retired as a Senior Scientist with the U.S. Federal Government. He is an expert in the fields or natural resource damage assessment and the effects of oil on wildlife. Roger is happiest when he’s outside with family and friends paddling, hiking, biking, diving, exploring, and reveling in the beauty of nature. Roger agreed to become a Board Member of Renew American Prosperity, Inc. because he believes America can only continue to prosper if business interests and environmental sustainability become deeply intertwined.
Joan Fenton, Vice President
Joan Fenton is owner of Quilts Unlimited/ J. Fenton Gallery with five retail stores in Virginia. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Charlottesville Downtown Business Association and as Secretary of the Phoenix Project. Joan became a founder of Renew American Prosperity, Inc. out of her desire to see America move to an environmentally sustainable economy that offers the chance of economic success to all who are willing to work for it.
Evlondo Cooper, Secretary/Treasurer
Evlondo Cooper, a native New Orleanian, is a senior writer for Media Matters for America’s Climate and Energy Program, where he tracks a wide array of conservative and mainstream media coverage of climate and energy issues and identifies false and misleading media narratives that could undermine progress on climate and energy issues. Previously, Evlondo worked at Checks and Balances Project, a watchdog organization, where he researched and wrote about the effects of the fossil fuel lobby’s influence peddling and regulatory capture on government officials, corporate managers and lobbyists.
